Television actress Akanksha Chamola recently spoke candidly about dealing with judgment and negativity despite living a happy life. Sharing her thoughts during an interaction, the actress revealed that she once approached spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravi Shankar with a deeply personal question that had been bothering her for a long time.
Akanksha said, "Maine Sri Sri Ravi Shankar ji se poocha tha ki log dusron ki khushi se itna pareshan kyun ho jaate hain?" She explained that despite trying to stay positive and peaceful, she often noticed people questioning her happiness and personal choices.
Opening up further, the actress shared, "Main genuinely samajhna chahti thi ki agar koi insaan apni life mein khush hai, toh usse dekhkar log uncomfortable kyun ho jaate hain." According to Akanksha, public opinions and unnecessary judgments started affecting her emotionally at one point, especially because people tend to comment without understanding someone's real life.
Talking about how negativity spreads quickly online, Akanksha said, "Social media par log bina soche samjhe kuch bhi bol dete hain. Woh aapki journey ya emotions nahi jaante, phir bhi assumptions bana lete hain." She admitted that such comments sometimes become mentally exhausting, particularly when they repeatedly target someone's personal life or happiness.
Recalling Sri Sri Ravi Shankar's advice, Akanksha shared, "Unhone mujhe kaha tha ki dusron ki negativity ko apni peace disturb mat karne do." She added that his words helped her shift her focus toward emotional balance and self-growth rather than constantly worrying about what society thinks.
The actress further said, "Har kisi ko apni life apne tareeke se jeene ka haq hai. Happiness ko justify karne ki zarurat nahi honi chahiye." She explained that over time, she has learnt to value her inner peace more than external validation.
Akanksha also reflected on how people are often quick to judge happy relationships or successful individuals. "Kabhi kabhi lagta hai ki log positivity se zyada negativity mein interest lete hain," she remarked, adding that such behaviour says more about others than the person being targeted.
Known for her television appearances and social media presence, Akanksha frequently shares glimpses of her personal life with husband and actor Gaurav Khanna. However, she admitted that constant scrutiny can occasionally feel overwhelming.
Ending on a positive note, the actress said, "Ab main sirf apni happiness aur mental peace par focus karti hoon. Log kya sochte hain, usse zyada important yeh hai ki aap khud kaisa feel karte ho."
Her honest remarks have resonated with many fans online, with several users praising her for speaking openly about emotional well-being and self-acceptance.
