TV actor Mahhi Vij has been grabbing attention for quite some time now. The actress has been creating buzz ever since she entered the Bigg Boss 20 house. While she continues to create controversies inside the house, many users noticed that her social media account has been disabled.
Mahhi's Instagram account has seemingly been disabled amid her ongoing stint on Bigg Boss. Anyone searching for her account or clicking on any of the IDs and links shared on her previous fan pages is redirected to a blank page.
Notably, she had earlier announced a break from social media in July, but her page was active after her Bigg Boss 20 entry.
The reason for the same is currently not known. However, the timing of the account being disabled and her participation in Bigg Boss has got many speculating. For the unversed, Mahhi entered the Salman Khan-hosted show after years of turning it down, describing her decision as a very personal one.
Notably, since the beginning of the season, Mahhi has found herself at the centre of many debates and conversations. Early on, the actress was criticised for allegedly being bossy, especially after her argument with Aman Gandhi over luggage. Similarly, her interactions with housemates while asking them to prepare tea also made everyone uncomfortable with her attitude.
Additionally, Mahhi also got into a deeply personal argument with legendary boxer Mary Kom in the house. While defending herself during a clash, the actress made a remark targeting Mary Kom's personal and married life, stating she respects her own husband unlike others. Her comments drew immense backlash on the internet and media attention.
Similarly, she also landed in controversy after casually joking with Isha Rikhi that Bigg Boss 20 felt like a "divorcee special" featuring their "second innings," while referring to the personal lives of herself, Isha, and Mary Kom. The comment was heavily criticised by viewers and social media users who saw it as highly insensitive.
For the unversed, Mahhi and Jay Bhanushali announced their separation in January 2026. The couple married who tied the knot 2011 and have a daughter, Tara, ended their marriage after 14 years. Meanwhile, they have also taken responsibility as foster parents to Khushi and Rajveer.
