The power to decide who enters the Bigg Boss house is once again in the hands of the audience. After its successful debut last season, JioHotstar and COLORS have brought back Fans Ka Faisla for Bigg Boss Hindi Season 20, giving viewers an opportunity to actively influence the game even before the show begins.
Under the initiative, audiences will decide which of two contenders receives the "Vardaan" of an Extra Jeevan Daan and earns a place in the Bigg Boss 20 house. Love Gill and Rhiya Ahir are competing for the single spot, with the winner set to be determined entirely through audience votes.
Voting is currently open exclusively on the JioHotstar app and will remain active until September 2 at 11:59 pm. The winner will be announced during the grand premiere on September 6, when host Salman Khan will welcome the audience's chosen contestant into the house.
Speaking about his chances of entering through fan votes, Love Gill said that having his fate decided directly by viewers feels like the ultimate Extra Jeevan Daan even before his journey begins. Referring to the season's "Tathas-two" theme, he said the concept reflects how the real power lies with the audience.
Love added that he does not intend to play safe or remain in the background. He described himself as someone who will bring unfiltered energy, honesty and Punjabi grit to the show, promising to enter the game with full intensity from day one. He also urged fans to support him if they want a contestant who will remain genuine throughout the journey.
Rhiya Ahir who has been viral for her student protests, expressed excitement about the fan-driven competition. She said becoming a Bigg Boss housemate through the audience's decision was the perfect beginning for a season built around double stakes. Rhiya said she is ready to compete without sugar-coating her opinions and believes viewers will recognise her authenticity.
The platform has also introduced several features to make the Bigg Boss 20 experience more interactive. Through "Jeeto", fans can participate in games and answer questions for a chance to win prizes. Viewers can also create and share memes based on memorable moments from the house.
The Live Chat feature will allow fans to interact and comment in real time, creating a shared viewing experience. Meanwhile, the voting feature will continue giving audiences the power to save their favourite contestants each week and eventually play a role in determining the season's winner.
