Shivam Khajuria
Actor Shivam Khajuria, who is a part of the Rajan Shahi's Anupamaa, says that he has always made sure to learn more and more on the job. He adds that he always looks up to what he can imbibe from his surroundings. In an exclusive chat, the actor shares how acting for him is a class on-ground, and how he often learns on the job.
Speaking about the best piece of advice he has ever received, Shivam shares, "To never take a single day for granted and to keep learning, no matter what stage you're at. Every set, every scene, every co-actor teaches you something new. The moment you think you've learnt it all, you stop growing, and I never want that to happen."
When it comes to defining success in the industry, Shivam believes it goes beyond fame or recognition. "For me, true success is the freedom to say yes only to the stories that speak to my soul. It's about choosing projects that resonate deeply with me, a subject that stays with you long after the cameras stop rolling," he says.
Addressing common misconceptions about actors, he explains, "That we're all arrogant, entitled, or living an easy life. Acting might look effortless on screen, but off screen it's hours of preparation, discipline, and emotional investment. It's a craft that demands your whole self, every single day."
Reflecting on the most valuable lesson he has learned, Shivam emphasis on the importance of consistency. "Patience and positivity are your best allies. Yes, sometimes fame comes overnight, but sustaining it is a step-by-step climb, and that's where steady growth matters. I've learnt to keep evolving, to constantly learn and unlearn, and to never get too comfortable. The journey is as important as the destination," he says.
Talking about how his character in Anupamaa has influenced him personally, Shivam shares, "Honestly, this character has given me more than I could ever give it. Living in his skin every day has taught me about patience, empathy, and above all, unconditional love. I've walked away from scenes carrying pieces of him into my real life, and that's the beauty of storytelling."
The series has Rupali Ganguly playing the lead.
