Baseer Ali's eviction came as a shock to the entire industry, with many celebrities calling it unfair. In an exclusive chat with mid-day, Baseer opened up about his eviction and addressed Malti Chahar's comments on his sexuality as well as Pranit More's crass remarks about his religion and relationships. Here's what Baseer had to say about his stint on the controversial reality show.

Baseer Ali calls his eviction unfair

Baseer revealed that he found his eviction unfair and had genuinely expected to reach the finale. He said, "I am surprised; I didn't expect to be out so soon. Maybe around the ninth week, I thought I'd see myself in the finale at least. Top six, top five, top two - it doesn't matter now, but I'm someone who always likes to complete my journeys, and I definitely wanted to see myself in the finals. But if the show is doing well and I wasn't supposed to be there, and it's working for them, then it's fine. I wish them all the love and luck."

When asked what might have gone wrong, Baseer stated that it wasn't due to a lack of votes but rather because the makers didn't find him suitable for the upcoming weeks. He explained, "I want to be very honest, and I don't care how people perceive this. I think my reality is too much to handle; my personality and honesty are too much to handle. Being a veteran of reality shows, I know how showbiz works. It's pure business - dreams and aspirations for people like us, but business for those calling the shots. I understand how things work, and I'm happy. I don't regret anything. I don't think I lacked content or audience support. That's the last thing I'll accept. Nobody can tell me that I got fewer votes."

On not getting any feedback from Salman Khan

Baseer also shared how he never received any feedback from Salman Khan during Weekend Ka Vaar, which left him feeling directionless. He said, "It kept happening again and again. In the beginning, with so many people in the house, I thought maybe I'd be guided later. But even by the 4th, 5th, and 6th weeks, I got no feedback. I felt maybe people weren't saying anything wrong about me or were just doing their own thing. But when I came out and saw clips, I realised people like Pranit, GK, Mridul, Nehal, and Farrhana had said so much nonsense about me."

He expressed disappointment that Bigg Boss and Salman Khan never called out the housemates for their offensive remarks, "So many people said crass things about me, and Bigg Boss never took a stand. Salman Khan never raised the issue. I wasn't informed on the show about what was being said. No one asked them why they made such comments. These things go against social norms - they're unethical to say on camera, on a show like Bigg Boss. I felt like a lost goat in the house."

Baseer Ali reacts to Malti Chahar and Pranit More's derogatory comments

Addressing Malti Chahar's comments on his sexuality and Pranit's derogatory remarks, Baseer said, "It's absurd. I didn't know Malti had commented on or questioned my sexuality. I didn't know Pranit had said he'd be okay with his sister. I've seen the clip; it basically means he said I would sleep with my sister. If I had said something like that on this show, I'd have been slapped in front of the whole house and the entire world. I'm ready to sign on that. But since his favourites said it, they laughed it off, the episode got edited, and it was overlooked by the makers. That was very disappointing for me."
