FIR actor Ishwar Thakur remains unresponsive in ICU; sister request for urgent funds

Television actor Ishwar Thakur, known for his roles in FIR and Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain!, is currently in a critical condition and undergoing treatment in the ICU of a hospital in Thane. His family has appealed for urgent financial assistance, saying they have exhausted their savings while trying to fund his treatment.

Ishwar Thakur's sister urges fans for urgent funds

Ishwar's sister Jayshree shared an update on his condition on Instagram Stories on Wednesday. In her appeal, she revealed that the actor developed a severe kidney infection after an infection originating from a wound on his leg spread through his body. She said the family is struggling to meet the mounting expenses for hospitalisation, medicines, tests and other medical requirements.

Speaking to Hindustan Times, Jayshree explained that Ishwar's health battle dates back to 2020, when he developed a wound on his foot, around three months before the Covid-19 lockdown. Since the actor is diabetic, the wound failed to heal properly and eventually led to further complications.

"It all started with a wound in the foot in 2020, three months before the Covid lockdown. He's diabetic, so the wound didn't heal, and now the infection has spread throughout his body," she said.

According to Jayshree, Ishwar's condition worsened drastically a few days ago, prompting the family to rush him to the hospital. He was subsequently admitted to the ICU and has remained unresponsive. "Two to three days ago, his condition deteriorated, and we rushed him to the hospital. He's been unresponsive ever since," she told the publication.

The family has reportedly spent whatever savings they had on his medical care and is now seeking financial support to continue the treatment. Jayshree said the makers of FIR and Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain! had previously helped the actor, while some of his co-stars also stepped in during his health struggles. Actor Kavita Kaushik had also appealed for help on his behalf.

Ishwar, 54, has been associated with several popular Hindi television shows, including FIR, Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain!, May I Come In Madam? and Jijaji Chhat Par Hain. He played Golu in FIR and was seen as Anurag in Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain!. His family is now seeking financial assistance to help cover his ongoing medical expenses as he remains under intensive care.
