Kush Shah, best known for playing Goli in the popular sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, has surprised fans with his latest career move. After stepping away from the long-running show, the actor has now ventured into the digital space with his own YouTube channel, where he is exploring an unusual cooking-based concept.
Kush was associated with Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah from its early years and played Gulabkumar Hansraj Hathi, popularly known as Goli. The character was known for his love of food and was one of the show's much-loved young members. Kush eventually left the sitcom in 2024 to pursue his studies abroad. After completing his academic journey, he has now returned to the spotlight with a completely different kind of content.
In his first YouTube videos, Kush can be seen taking his food-related content to the streets of Mumbai. Rather than simply preparing dishes in a studio or sharing conventional recipe videos, the actor approaches strangers and asks if he can visit their homes and cook for them. The unusual concept has caught the attention of fans, who were amused to see the actor known for playing a food-loving character actually exploring cooking in real life.
Videos from his new venture show Kush approaching people on the streets and requesting permission to cook in their homes. While several people appear hesitant or turn down his request, the actor continues his search for willing participants. His attempt has led to plenty of reactions online, with some fans expressing surprise at his new direction after his exit from television.
Kush's former Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah co-stars and fans have also reacted to his new videos. His on-screen connection with the show's younger cast remains popular, and his latest content has brought back memories of his years as Goli.
His decision to launch a cooking-focused YouTube channel also marks a significant shift from acting. Rather than immediately returning to television, Kush appears to be experimenting with digital storytelling and a format that allows him to interact directly with people.
His new venture comes more than two years after he left the show. While his departure had left fans curious about his next step, Kush's latest project shows that he is willing to explore unconventional opportunities beyond his popular television identity.
For now, Kush's cooking videos have given fans a glimpse into his life after Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, while his unusual approach to content creation continues to generate curiosity online.
