The much-talked-about 15th season of Khatron Ke Khiladi has found its winner in Avinash Mishra. With the tagline, the recently concluded season hosted by Rohit Shetty turned the show into a fan favourite and a full-blown pop-culture rage. Notably, this year, the show returned after a highly anticipated two-year hiatus and managed to garner 2X viewership from the previous one, emerging as one of the top non-fictions of 2026 in India. Nevertheless, the stunt-based show has now drawn its curtains after an adventure-packed season.
The 15th season culminated with Avinash Mishra being crowned the winner, beating Rithvik Dhanjani and Orhan Awatramani (Orry), who finished as the first and second runners-up, respectively in the finale. Set against the breathtaking yet unforgiving terrains of Cape Town, the latest season introduced the high voltage âChampions vs. Challengers' format, which pitted franchise veterans against fresh contenders.
Through all the chaos, Avinash Mishra's journey saw him transformed from a 'newcomer' challenger into the most dominant force of the entire season. During the high-octane Team Week twist, Avinash was appointed Team Captain and strategically steered his squad entirely out of danger against a veteran-heavy team led by Rithvik Dhanjani.
He even earned a signed custom Fear Jacket from Rohit Shetty for his fearless execution across dizzying heights and heavy machinery tasks. His breakthrough came during a technically demanding, high-pressure underwater task, where he outdid seasoned veteran Karan Wahi to claim a spot as the season's very first Top 5 Finalist.
In the epic Grand Finale showdown, Avinash conquered the ultimate helicopter-to-water stunt to emerge victoriously. He took home the coveted trophy, Rs 20 lakh cash prize, a fully paid Europe trip and a brand-new Maruti Suzuki Swift.
Sharing his gratitude after his win Avinash Mishra said, "Winning Khatron Ke Khiladi feels special because I thought I signed up for the show with a point to prove, but along the way, the person I ended up proving it to, was myself. I have spent years being associated with television and, yes, with being the good-looking guy on screen. I enjoyed that journey, but I also knew there was so much more I wanted people to see in me. This show gave me the chance to put everything else aside and literally let my actions speak. Most of this journey was actually about the mind."
"You can prepare yourself physically, but when you are standing at the edge of something terrifying, there is no performance left - it is just you, your fear and the decision you make in that moment. I had to learn to tune out the noise, trust myself, and keep going. There were days when I surprised myself, and those are the moments I will cherish. And to win the show after everything I have discovered about myself here is the kind of ending I could only have hoped for. I came to Khatron Ke Khiladi wanting to test myself; I am leaving with a belief in myself that I didn't have before. That, for me, is the biggest victory," he added.
