Actor Priyank Sharma recently dismissed reports suggesting that he will participate in Lock Upp. He clarified that his reality television journey ended years ago and that he is not keen on them anymore. Addressing the speculation on social media, the actor said he is now focused solely on acting, dancing, and performance-based projects.
Rumours about Priyank joining the second season of the reality show had been circulating online. Several reports also suggest that producer and television personality Vikas Gupta would also be part of the lineup.
However, according to a News18 report, Priyank took to Instagram stories to issue a statement and shut down the rumours about his participation on the reality show. He wrote, "So here's a quick clarification for the media houses and people who are trying to circulate a fake speculation of me being a part of any reality show. This journey ended back in 2017, which is like 8 years ago. Since then, I have focused on my craft and polished my acting and dancing skills so I can come entertain all of you."
He also opened up about the kind of projects audiences can expect to see him in going forward. "Now the only time you will see me is going to be either on a web show, a film, or me performing on a stage. Happy Sunday and Happy Father's Day," he concluded.
Priyank Sharma is best known for his appearances on shows such as Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya, MTV Splitsvilla 10, Roadies Rising (Season 14), among others. He gained recognition after his appearance in Salman Khan-hosted reality show Bigg Boss 11. His breakup with Divya Aggarwal due to his closeness with co-contestant Benafsha Soonawala became one of the biggest talk points of the season.
Apart from reality shows, he has also appeared in several web shows like Dillogical, Puncch Beat, The Holiday, Jab We Matched, Love on the Run and Runner Up. He was last seen in the web series Hai Junoon, which also starred Neil Nitin Mukesh, Jacqueline Fernandez, Boman Irani, Siddharth Nigam and others.
