Seher Hone Ko Hai actress Mahhi Vij announced that she is taking a break from social media. She took to Instagram to make the announcement, while urging her fans to keep her in their prayers. Although Mahhi did not specify the reason for her break or how long her social media break would last, she stated that she would return if she has any work-related things to share.
Mahhi's announcement comes days after she celebrated her exit from Seher Hone Ko Hai with fellow actress Rishita Kothari. Announcing her break, Mahhi wrote on her Instagram Story, "Taking a break from social media for sometime."
She further added, "No idea how much till I have to post something work-related." Mahhi concluded her note by asking her fans, "Dua mein yaad rakhna."
Notably, Mahhi did not reveal the reason behind her decision to step away from social media. A few days ago, she was seen spending time with Rishita Kothari. Mridul Meena, Rishita's boyfriend, had shared a video of the two actresses with the caption, "The real OGs."
Mahhi Vij made her comeback on television after a long hiatus with the show Seher Hone Ko Hai. Prior to that, she was last seen on TV in Laal Ishq, following which she had largely stayed away from daily soaps. However, she had made occasional appearances on reality shows alongside her husband, Jay Bhanushali.
Mahhi became a household name for her performances in Laagi Tujhse Lagan and Balika Vadhu,. Apart from daily soaps, Mahhi has also participated in popular reality shows such as Nach Baliye 5, Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 7, and Bigg Boss 13 as a guest.
Mahhi Vij and Jay Bhanushali officially announced their divorce in January 2026 amid much speculation and rumours, ending their 15-year marriage. They shared a joint social media statement, wherein they clarified the split is amicable, stating they chose "peace over drama." They also added that they remain committed to responsibly co-parenting their three children, including their biological daughter, Tara, and their two fostered children, Khushi and Rajveer.
