Actor Mohit Duseja is all set to enter the supernatural universe of Naagin 7 in a pivotal role. Speaking exclusively to mid-day, the actor opened up about joining the popular franchise, being selective about his projects, exploring different entertainment mediums, and balancing life beyond acting.
Expressing his excitement about becoming part of the fantasy drama, Mohit shared, "I'm thrilled to step into the mystical world of Naagin 7 as Kapil. This show has such a passionate fanbase and a legacy of magic, drama, and twists."
The actor revealed that his character Kapil will showcase shades audiences have not seen him portray before. "Kapil is layered, intense, and very different from anything I've done before. I can't wait for the audience to see his journey unfold," he said.
Calling the opportunity special, Mohit added, "Grateful for the love and ready to bring this character to life with all my heart." The actor also spoke about why he prefers quality over quantity when it comes to selecting projects. "I'm very choosy when it comes to my roles because I want each one to challenge me and push me as an actor," Mohit explained.
According to him, emotionally layered and impactful characters are what excite him the most. "I enjoy playing strong, complex characters that have depth and leave an impact. For me, it's not about doing more work it's about doing the right work," he said. He further added that memorable characters leave a lasting impression both on actors and viewers. "A powerful role stays with you, and with the audience, long after the show ends."
Beyond television, Mohit is also eager to explore newer creative spaces and does not want to restrict himself to one format. "I don't want to limit myself to just television. As an actor, I'm ready to explore every medium that challenges me creatively," he shared. The actor said he is equally open to reality shows, OTT platforms, and films if the story connects with him. "Whether it's reality shows, OTT platforms, or films I'm open to all of it. For me, the story and the character matter more than the screen size," Mohit said, adding that he wants to "grow, experiment, and connect with audiences everywhere."
Talking about his personal life away from the sets, Mohit described himself as someone deeply attached to family and travel. "When I'm not shooting, I go back home and spend time with my family. I love planning travel tours and exploring new places it keeps me grounded," he revealed. Interestingly, the actor also has entrepreneurial ambitions outside the entertainment industry. "I'm also into business because I don't want to be completely dependent on acting. That's who I am beyond the sets a family guy, a traveler, and an entrepreneur."
When asked about his love life, Mohit answered with humour while making it clear that work remains his priority at the moment. "Right now my only steady relationship is with my script and my call times. They demand all my effort," he joked.
However, the actor admitted that he still strongly believes in love. "I absolutely believe in love, 100 percent. My heart is open. But my focus is entirely on work right now this phase of my career needs me more than anything else," he said. Ending on a playful note, Mohit added, "If something special happens organically, it happens. I'm not chasing it. Until then, Kapil has enough romance for me."
