Ravi Kishan reacts to Sanchita Ugale's death, stresses importance of emotional resilience: 'It's sad'

The television industry is still coming to terms with the death of actor Sanchita Ugale, who passed away on June 14 at the age of 22. As tributes continue to pour in from colleagues and fans, actor and BJP MP Ravi Kishan has spoken about the growing number of young people struggling with emotional distress and the importance of seeking strength during difficult times.

Speaking to PTI, Ravi reflected on the tragic loss and shared his concerns about the increasing number of young individuals taking extreme steps when faced with personal challenges.

Commenting on Sanchita's death, Ravi said, "Kids are getting suicidal a lot. A 22-year-old artist of television, she died by suicide; it is sad."

The actor stressed the importance of emotional resilience, adding, "That's why meditation, spirituality, and praying are important; it gives you strength. Good and bad things will happen, and they will keep on coming. There's not even one person who is not sad or who doesn't have anything to worry about. But one has to stay alive."

His remarks come as the entertainment fraternity continues to mourn the loss of the young actor, who had appeared in several popular television shows and films.

Sanchita Ugale's shocking death

Sanchita was known for her work in shows such as Kumkum Bhagya, Wagle Ki Duniya, Dilwali Dulha Le Jayegi and Saajan Ghar. She had also featured in films, including Chhaava.

Following her death, co-star Ujwal Sharma addressed rumours linking the two romantically and clarified that they were never in a relationship. Speaking to Telly Chakkar, he said, "There is no truth to the link-up rumours. We were not in a relationship."

He further claimed that Sanchita had been going through a difficult phase in her personal life and had sought professional support. "The production house had also helped her access treatment and support for her mental health. Whatever has happened is extremely unfortunate and shocking," he said.

The circumstances surrounding Sanchita's death remain under investigation, and no official reason has been confirmed. Her passing has sparked renewed conversations around mental health awareness, emotional well-being, and the importance of seeking help during challenging times.
