Shantanu Maheshwari who has performed on global shows like ‘America's Got Talent,' is glad to see the rising popularity of Asian artistes all over the world. A self-confessed K-pop fan himself, the actor speaks about his love for the genre.

Your thoughts on rising popularity of Asian performers who are making a mark across the world and the K-pop wave?

The internet has successfully broken so many barriers across the world for everyone to have a glimpse of global content, and with that, K- Pop has definitely made a strong mark as their music is being so widely consumed these days. I myself love listening to a few of the K-pop bands, especially their dance numbers which are so catchy! Their music videos are very different and give a larger than life feel to their music. The kind of colours they use in their videos are so vibrant and bring out such an amazing vibe! I also love the confidence with which they perform in all their music videos. I thoroughly enjoy listening to their music, so yes, I am glad that I was able to build a connect with K-pop and it's great to see how well they are being received all over the world.

Which are your favourite K- pop groups and songs you would wish to perform on for your fans?

My favourite groups are BTS, Nct127, Super M, Super junior, Black pink, I listen to their music. I'm hooked to BTS's songs like Dynamite and Butter.
