Prime Video announces the second season of Alliance to premiere on January 14th 2027. The competitive captive reality series managed to leave the fans hooked in the first season so much that they had to bring a new one. The previous season featured celebs like Kushal Tandon, Ravi Kishan, Rivva Kishan, Mini Mathur, Aly Goni, Nikhil Chinapa, Daisy Shah and others. Many of them were seen making their reality TV debut with Alliance.
Reality show Alliance is an Indian adaptation of the globally acclaimed Dutch format created by John de Mol and produced by Banijay Asia. The Season 1 was hosted by Kunal Kemmu, with 16 celebrity Allies inside a mysterious headquarters run by 'The System', where they navigated physical and mental challenges, forged alliances, and proved that in this game, the smartest mind wins. The first season was won by Mini Mathur. The actress lifted the trophy at 54, proving that age doesn't matter if there is determination.
While exclusively talking to mid-day after her win, Mini got candid about winning a show that was highly male dominated, she shared, "I was very clear that I didn't want to play safe or under anybody's shadow. I didn't want the security of a power structure around me because I believed I was enough. I knew I could handle the brain teasers, and I was physically fit enough to take on the challenges too. I didn't want anyone to see me as a weak link. I chose to play the game according to my own moral compass, treating people the way I believed was right and responding to aggression on my own terms. I have to say, everybody in the house gave me love and respect."
Earlier, while talking to Hindustan Times, Kunal Kemmu also shared his take on debuting as a host, "It's a completely brand new format that's not been done before. It is coming to India for the first time. For Prime Video, it is also one of the first reality shows. Banijay has also not done a show like this. So I felt good knowing I'm not the only one doing this for the first time. At least I won't be judged so badly if I suck at it."
