The stakes are getting higher on Prime Video's Alliance, with the first elimination taking place and a new contestant entering the show. Actor-producer Sohail Khan is expected to make an entry this week. Sohail is ready to carve his own identity with Alliance. Calling it a game of strategy rather than personality, the actor revealed why he signed up for the show.
In an interview with HT, Sohail called the show an opportunity to move beyond the image of being "Salman Khan's brother." "In the show, there's no family name to lean on. No industry clout. It's just me, my mind, and how I play the game," he said. He added, "If people walk away seeing a side of me they didn't expect, good. That's exactly why I'm here."
Revealing his biggest takeaway from watching Salman host, Sohail said, "I've seen what it takes, the energy, the drama, the emotional toll. And I always thought, 'That's his space, not mine.'" Talking about how Alliance differs from Bigg Boss, Sohail explained, "Salman's show is about personalities, conflicts and emotions. But this one is fundamentally different. It's a game of the mind. Strategy. Outwitting people without them knowing they've been outwitted. That challenge appealed to me in a way nothing else has."
He also revealed Salman Khan's reaction to his participation, saying, "He was intrigued. And then he said, 'You sure you know what you're getting into?' Which, knowing him, is both a warning and a blessing. I'll take it."
Sohail also went on to share what would happen if the Khan family were involved in the game show. He called brother Arbaaz Khan the peacemaker, saying he listens, mediates, and keeps everyone grounded. Meanwhile, he tagged Salma Khan as the master strategist, as he believes she brought up three sons with completely different personalities effortlessly.
The show, hosted by Kunal Kemmu, recently saw Ravi Kishan's exit, leaving everyone emotional. Alliance is a game where loyalties shift overnight and equations can change without warning. Following the first reshuffle, Ravi Kishan, Vanshaj Singh, Payal Gaming, and Armaan Khera became the Kings. Dolly Javed, Delbar Arya, Sabby Suri, and Rivva Kishan joined the Hunters. Kushal Tandon, Daisy Shah, Ruhee Dosani, and Nikhil Chinapa formed the Warriors, while Niti Taylor, Mini Mathur, Arslan Goni, and Zaid Darbar became the Legends.
