Before diving into Prime Video's reality show Alliance that begins streaming on June 26, Daisy Shah shot the teaser for her next, DGP Kashmir, last week. Imtiyaz Bhat's directorial venture aims to celebrate the courage of the police personnel in the Valley. Donning the khaki uniform and delving briefly into the film's world for the shoot has made the actor even more eager to slip into her role of an IPS officer.

"The film draws from several real incidents from Kashmir. That makes the role more challenging and emotionally demanding," said Shah. It was Bhat's perspective that drew her to the movie, which also stars Sharib Hashmi and Ashmit Patel. She explained, "When we talk about Kashmir, we often focus on the conflict. What we don't hear enough about are the people who put their lives on the line every day to keep others safe. This film is our attempt to acknowledge their courage and sacrifice." The actor is expected to kick off the shoot in July.
