Superstar Salman Khan appeared on the premiere episode of Koffee With Karan, where host Karan Johar recalled visiting the actor's house and learning about a small room there. The superstar then opened up about experiencing paranormal activities in the room, from lights switching on and off to cupboards opening on their own. Recalling the incidents, Salman shared how he sensed a presence behind him but was never truly frightened by it.
Salman recollected, "In that room, I never stayed there alone. I stayed there with somebody jisko maine kabhi dekha nahi, sirf suna hai, sirf mehsoos kiya hai peeche." Karan asked, "Who?"
The superstar added, "Every time I came out, the lights used to go on and off. The cupboards used to open up, the music used to come on. In the bathroom, I could feel somebody outside fidgeting with the cupboards. Then I figured out that there was somebody there, someone there."
Karan asked, "It was haunted?" Salman further said, "Not haunted, I mean there was a presence felt behind me. So, every time I put on some music, and I could feel it right behind me, and I used to say that, 'Kya music sunna pasand karenge aap?' I used to just press the button and walk out."
He added, "There was a billiard table outside earlier. When we used to play billiards, we could hear somebody inside, cupboard khul gaya, music on hogaya." When Karan asked if it freaked him out, Salman said, "Nah! It didn't do anything. My only request was that if you are, like, a really, really beautiful woman, then you show yourself to me." The show is presented by The Peacock Hub on JioHotstar.
To note, Salman and Karan Johar collaborated on Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, where the actor's cameo won hearts.
During the episode, Salman told host Karan Johar, "Yes, I am a virgin," adding that he was saving himself for marriage. The statement soon became one of the most talked-about moments from the show.
However, the upcoming edition will also mark the end of an era, as Karan has decided to conclude Koffee With Karan after nine seasons to focus more on directing films. "This will be the last time I will be on a couch that has been synonymous with conversations, candour, and well... controversies... The decision is emotional and personal to me... But I am hoping the legacy of love the show has given me continues to brew in people's hearts," Karan said. To note, Karan Johar plans to return with new gossipy chat show after Koffee with Karan 9.
