Still from 56 Days
On Wednesday, Prime Video released first-look images and announced the premiere date for the highly anticipated new thriller series, 56 Days, adapted from Catherine Ryan Howard's best-selling novel. All eight episodes will be released on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.
The thriller series 56 Days follows Oliver and Ciara, who, after meeting randomly in a supermarket, fall for each other fast, and dangerously hard. Fifty-six days later, homicide investigators arrive at Oliver's apartment to find an unidentified body - brutally murdered and intentionally decomposed. Did he kill her? Did she kill him? Intercutting between an intense single day in the present investigation, and the twisted trajectory of the young lovers' affair in the past, the series is both a unique crime story and a riveting, sexy, psychological thriller.
The star-studded cast features Dove Cameron as Ciara Wyse, Avan Jogia as Oliver Kennedy, Karla Souza as Lee Reardon, and Dorian Missick as Karl Connolly.
56 Days is written and executive-produced by Lisa Zwerling and Karyn Usher. Also executive producing are James Wan, Michael Clear, and Rob Hackett via Atomic Monster, with Danielle Bozzone overseeing the series on behalf of the company. Catherine Ryan Howard will serve as co-executive producer. The series is produced by Amazon MGM Studios and Atomic Monster.
Dove Cameron and Avan Jogia have quickly become one of Hollywood's most intriguing and effortlessly stylish couples. First sparking dating rumours in late 2023, the duo confirmed their relationship through a series of public appearances that highlighted their easy chemistry and shared creative spirit. Both actors and musicians with strong individual artistic identities, Dove and Avan complement each other with their mutual love for edgy fashion, genre-bending music, and bold, expressive storytelling.
Dove, known for her Disney beginnings and her evolution into a confident pop artist, often speaks about authenticity and emotional openness - qualities that align seamlessly with Avan's artistic approach. Avan, celebrated for his roles in Victorious, Now Apocalypse, and his band Twin Shadow, brings a grounded, introspective energy to their partnership. Together, they represent a modern, artsy, and deeply connected couple who inspire fans with their individuality as much as their bond.
