Television actress Akanksha Chamola has made another deeply personal revelation on Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa, days after announcing that she and husband Gaurav Khanna are headed for divorce. After previously opening up about her bisexuality and confirming the end of her marriage, Akanksha has now said that she identifies as asexual and no longer feels interested in physical intimacy.
During a candid conversation on the reality show, Akanksha spoke about the emotional changes she has experienced over the past few years. She admitted that her outlook towards relationships has changed significantly and that she no longer desires a physical connection with anyone.
Sharing her feelings, she said, "I have become asexual. I don't feel like having sex with anyone. I don't even feel like touching anyone. I am very happy the way I am."
The actress added that she is content with the life she is living today and does not feel the need to seek validation through a romantic relationship. "I am happy with my life. I don't feel the need to have a partner," she said, explaining that she has found peace in being by herself.
Akanksha's latest revelation comes shortly after she disclosed on the show that she and Gaurav Khanna have mutually decided to part ways after living separately for nearly a year. While speaking about the separation, she had clarified that there was no bitterness between them and that the decision was made after careful thought. And her recent revelation on coming out as bisexual.
Earlier on Lock Upp, Akanksha had also revealed that she was bisexual before her marriage and that Gaurav was aware of her sexuality. Speaking about his reaction, she had said that he accepted her for who she was, calling his understanding an important part of their relationship.
The actress has repeatedly maintained that she has no plans to marry again after the divorce. She previously shared that, for the first time in her life, she wants to experience living independently without the responsibilities of a relationship.
Akanksha and Gaurav tied the knot in November 2016 after dating for a brief period. While the couple largely kept their personal life away from the spotlight over the years, Akanksha's candid revelations on the reality show have sparked widespread discussion online.
