Television actor Harshad Chopda has become one of the most talked-about contestants on Lock Upp, but not entirely for the right reasons. His recent aggressive behaviour inside the reality show has sparked a heated debate online, with several viewers comparing his conduct to the fictional character Kabir Singh, known for his volatile temperament.
The discussion gained momentum after Harshad was seen losing his cool during an intense confrontation with Shreya Kalra. His raised voice, angry exchanges and emotional outbursts quickly went viral on social media, prompting viewers to weigh in on his behaviour. Harshad Chopda said, "Chudail, she has no right to talk to Shivangi like this. I will teach her a lesson today." He went on to hurl abuses at her to which Ram Kapoor and Shivangi shut him and told him that he was behaving irrationally.
Reacting to the episodes, one social media user wrote, "Harshad is acting like Kabir Singh. What's with all the aggression?" Another commented, "His anger issues are becoming difficult to watch. He seriously needs to calm down." Several others echoed similar views, saying the actor's repeated outbursts were overshadowing his game inside the house.
Not everyone, however, agreed with the criticism. A section of fans came to Harshad's defence, arguing that reality shows often amplify emotions because contestants live under constant pressure and surveillance. One supporter wrote, "People are judging him too quickly. Anyone can lose their temper in that environment." Another fan added, "He's passionate, not toxic. There's a difference."
The comparisons to Kabir Singh, a character portrayed by Shahid Kapoor in the 2019 film, have fuelled discussions across social media platforms. While some viewers believe Harshad's reactions reflect uncontrolled anger, others insist that isolated clips do not represent his overall personality.
