Mallika Sherawat turns matchmaker for Shweta Tiwari, vows to find European man for her

Shweta Tiwari's personal life and troubled marriages have often remained in the spotlight, but the actress is now making headlines for a lighter reason on The Traitors 2. Her growing bond with fellow contestant Mallika Sherawat has caught attention, with Mallika even promising to play matchmaker and find Shweta a European man. Here's how the actress reacted.

Mallika turns matchmaker for Shweta

The conversation happened when the two were in the billiards room along with their fellow contestant Rhea Chakraborty. Mallika Sherawat told Shweta Tiwari, "I have promised her I am going to set her up with a nice European man who is going to cherish you, celebrate you."

Rhea Chakraborty asked, "Are European men better than Indian men to date?" Mallika Sherawat responded, "Is that even a question to ask? Are you out of your mind? Yes. But I am going to fix it up for sure." Shweta Tiwari took it all in good humour and laughed: "Mere piche kyu par gaye (Why are you after me)?"

Before this, Shweta grabbed attention for her explosive cheating remark. When Karan Johar asked if she would prefer being a traitor or innocent, he told Shweta Tiwari, "Jhoot bol lengi kyuki actor hai, lekin shayad jhoot pakadne mein aap itni mahir nahi ho sakti." To this, Shweta made a shocking statement, saying, "Apne Patiyon ko cheat karte hue maine hi pakda tha."

Shweta has been married twice. She separated from her first husband, Raja Chaudhary, in 2007 after nine years of marriage. She shares daughter Palak Tiwari with him. To note, Palak is one of the most stylish star kids in B-town and has starred in several films. In a recent interview with Hindi Rush, Raja did not hold back when expressing his dislike for Shweta. Calling her "illiterate," Raja said that he had planned the future of their daughter, actress Palak Tiwari.

He said, "You hadn't seen money before, you lived a life of poverty since childhood, grew up in a chawl. When money suddenly comes, it messes with people's minds."

Shweta Tiwari and Abhinav Kohli married on July 13, 2013, after dating for three years. They separated in August 2019 after Shweta filed a domestic violence and harassment complaint against him. They are parents to son Reyansh, who currently stays with the actress.
