Manoj Bajpayee delivers one of his most powerful performances as lawyer P.C. Solanki in Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai, a determined advocate fighting a sensitive and high-profile case.

In 2019, Manoj Bajpayee made a splash on streaming platforms with Amazon Prime Video’s The Family Man. As Srikant Tiwari, a middle-class everyman who is secretly an intelligence agent, Bajpayee found perhaps his widest audience yet. 

Prakash Jha's Rajneeti showcased Bajpayee as a staunch politician by the name of Veerendra Pratap. With the star-studded cast, Bajpayee's character stood.

In Sonchiriya (2019), his brief role as an elderly rebel leader was short yet impactful. The movie revolves around Man Singh played by Bajpayee and his gang of dacoits, who're going through an extreme existential crisis after killing innocent people. 

In Zubeidaa, Manoj Bajpayee delivers a restrained yet compelling performance as Maharaja Vijayendra Singh, a dignified royal torn between duty and love.

Manoj Bajpayee essays the role of a real-life cop in Inspector Zende, who is tasked to nab a fugitive. While he is a shapr officer, his wit wooed the audience.

In Shool (1999), Bajpayee transformed into an upright Bihar inspector raging against a corrupt system – a performance seething with intensity and despair.

Pinjar has been one of the best films made on the partition. Bajpayee played the role of a Muslim man Rashid, during the India-Pakistan partition, who kidnaps a Hindu girl, Puro (Urmila Matondkar) to seek revenge and falls in love with her instead.

In Gangs of Wasseypur (2012), Bajpayee’s turn as gangster patriarch Sardar Khan was another tour de force. With his rustic swagger and simmering rage, he made the lawless character unforgettable.

Satya was career-defining film in his career. Bajpayee played the character of Bhiku Matre and literally stunned everyone with his performance. The iconic dialogue “Mumbai ka King Kaun, Bhiku Mhatre” sums up the character perfectly. The role got him a National Award for the best supporting actor.

In Veer Zaara, he played Razaa Shirazi, fiancee of Preity's character, who plays a pivotal role in disrupting the love story of Veer and Zaara. Despite limited screen time, he brings intensity to the role.

Manoj Bajpayee played Colonel Abhay Singh in the spy thriller Aiyaary. The film also starred Sidharth Malhotra in pivotal role.
