At a meet-up this weekend, three intrepid backpackers will share stories and cool hacks to help you make travel a way of life

Have you wondered how some people manage to travel without a care in the world? How they juggle their jobs with fancy Europe trips, or make money while on the go? Tomorrow, attend the Backpacking 101 session to meet three individuals who will help you figure out how to tick things off your bucket list. The session is part of Travel Talkies, an online travel community started by Awestrich to bring together fellow travellers who share their experiences. As a part of community-building, Awestrich organises Travel Talkies meet-ups in Mumbai, Delhi and Varanasi.

Lipi Goyal

This edition will include a panel made up of Lipi Goyal, Arpan Joshi and Shronit Ladhani, all avid travellers. Joshi is a full-time backpacker who quit his job in 2013 to travel. He has undertaken a coastal road trip on his bike from Kutch to Kolkata via Kanyakumari. Ladhani, meanwhile, is a young entrepreneur who has travelled to 34 countries.

Arpan Joshi

Goyal, a performing artiste and emcee, has been on several solo trips across the world. She says, "As a solo woman traveller, you need to be careful while travelling. One of the things to do is read reviews before making bookings - whether it's for accommodation, activities or transport. I'll be sharing several other tips like this one, so that women can enjoy a trip without the stress."
