Man stabbed to death in Thane; two held

Two men have been arrested by Thane city police for allegedly killing a 27-year-old man. Victim was stabbed to death by four men in public over a dispute in Maharashtra's Thane city, police said on Friday.

According to the PTI, police have managed to arrest two people so far. Furthermore, senior inspector Rajkumar Wackchoure said that the attack occurred in the Laxmi Chirag Nagar area of Thane West on Thursday evening, and the prime accused is still at large.

As per the complaint, the victim, Darshan Deepak Shinde, was sitting on a bench in the area. While he was sitting, four men accosted him, and while one of them grabbed his hand, another attacked him with a sharp weapon, he said.

The official said the accused also threatened vendors and people in the vicinity not to say anything about the incident. Adding on to the statements, the official said that the accused wanted to show their dominance in the area.

A case has been filed against the accused in accordance with the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita, namely in accordance with sections 103 (murder), 352 (intentional insult with the intent to provoke breach of peace), and 351 (criminal intimidation), as well as other pertinent laws. Aryan Gadhiwal, who is twenty years old; Tushar Nirukhekar (24); Akash Shinde (28); and a person who is known as 'Bhal (20) have all been booked by the police on the respective charges.

While Nirukhekar and Akash Shinde have been taken into custody, other individuals who were involved in the criminal act are still at large. A search operation has been initiated for all the fugitive accused and we will make every effort to locate all of the individuals as quickly as possible, a police officer stated in response to the issue.
