In the NESCO music concert drug overdose case, the Vanrai Police have arrested a tenth accused, identified as Pradeep Gupta (30), for his alleged role in facilitating unauthorised access to the event.
According to police sources, Gupta was deployed as a bouncer through a private security agency assigned to manage safety at the concert. Police allege that he accepted money from the main accused, Ayush Sahitya, and his associates to grant them backdoor entry into the venue, bypassing security checks.
The accused reportedly allowed Ayush Sahitya, along with Vineet Gerelani and other associates, to enter the event through unauthorised access points.
Vanrai Police said their investigation revealed that Gerelani, Ayush Agarwal, and their friends gained illegal entry into the "999999999" music event by paying a bouncer. Police have now identified and arrested Gupta as the security personnel involved in this breach.
"The event's security was handled by a private firm, SafeCure. We are questioning the event organisers and SafeCure's management to determine whether there was any negligence and if other security staff were involved in facilitating illegal entry," police said.
Pradeep Gupta, a resident of Sion Koliwada, was working on a contract basis as a bouncer during the event.
