The accused, identified as Nihal Solanki, a resident of Panchavati in Nashik, was arrested from Nalasopara following a search operation launched by Marine Drive Police

The injured officers, identified as Constable Krishnakant Mishra and Rathod, are attached to Marine Drive Police Station. The police said the duo sustained serious injuries and are currently undergoing treatment in the ICU of Bombay Hospital

The police said that the officials had attempted to stop Solanki’s luxury car at the checkpoint

After receiving information about the incident, police teams rushed to the spot and shifted the injured officers to hospital for treatment

A search operation was subsequently launched, leading to Solanki’s arrest in Nalasopara on Monday morning
