India Post's Mumbai Region has launched a three-week Aadhaar mobile update campaign in schools and educational institutions in Mumbai city and its suburbs.
The campaign began on July 20, 2026 and aims to make Aadhaar-related services more accessible, particularly for students and young citizens.
As part of the initiative, specially deployed Mobile Biometric Update (MBU) Units will visit educational institutions to provide Aadhaar services on-site.
The campaign is designed to save parents and students the inconvenience of visiting Aadhaar enrolment centres by bringing services directly to schools.
Authorised India Post personnel equipped with secure digital devices will provide a range of Aadhaar-related services, including biometric updates, Aadhaar enrolment, demographic corrections and mobile number updates.
Officials said the campaign aims to ensure that mandatory Aadhaar biometric updates are completed smoothly and efficiently.
Postmaster General of India Post, Mumbai Region, Kaiya Arora, said the initiative reflects India Post's growing role in delivering citizen-focused government services.
She said the department's extensive network and last-mile connectivity help bridge service gaps and make essential identity services available to more people.
According to India Post, the campaign has already received an encouraging response from schools, parents and local communities.
Officials said the initiative supports the government's vision of digital inclusion by providing secure, government-authorised and citizen-friendly services.
Residents can check the campaign schedule and participating locations through the Mumbai Postal Region's official social media platforms.
