A road-rage confrontation near Bandra Talao allegedly turned violent on August 8, after celebrity fitness coach Arjunjit Eamanjit Garewal, 39, was allegedly assaulted and his Mahindra Thar vandalised with a baseball bat.
The Bandra police have registered an FIR against unknown persons and are investigating the incident. Around 11.45 pm, on August 8, Garewal was travelling towards Mahim with his wife, Bhakti, in his Mahindra Thar.

Near Sahil Hotel, SV Road, a Mahindra XUV700 allegedly came in front of their vehicle. After Garewal overtook it, the SUV's driver allegedly approached them and tried to provoke an argument. Near Bandra Talao Road, the SUV overtook Garewal's vehicle and suddenly stopped in front of it, blocking the road.
A man in a white shirt allegedly got out, abused Garewal and told him to step out of the Thar. Garewal said he was then assaulted. Two more men allegedly arrived on motorcycles and joined the confrontation.
Garewal alleged that the group attacked him with a baseball bat and smashed the front, rear and driver-side windows of his vehicle. Police reached the spot, following which the alleged attackers fled. Garewal said he suffered injuries to his face and later filed a complaint. Police have registered FIR against unknown persons; investigation is underway.
