The City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO) has invited Expressions of Interest (EOIs) for the first phase of a large Integrated Logistics Park (ILP) planned in Navi Mumbai, marking a significant step towards strengthening the region's position as a national logistics hub.
The proposed project will be developed on around 374 hectares of land near Chirle village in the Pushpak node. Officials said the site is strategically located close to key infrastructure such as the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority, the upcoming Navi Mumbai International Airport, the Mumbai Trans Harbour Link, and the proposed Dedicated Freight Corridor, offering seamless multimodal connectivity.
In the initial phase, CIDCO has invited EOIs for 12 plots spread across approximately 72 hectares (179.29 acres) under Land Parcel L-1. The allotment, development, and disposal of land will be carried out under the Maharashtra government's MIDC pass-through policy.
A senior CIDCO official said the authority has already prepared a detailed master plan dividing the entire project area into seven logistics zones. "A primary road network of 45-metre and 30-metre-wide roads has been planned to ensure smooth connectivity to all plots," the official added.
CIDCO will undertake the development of essential infrastructure, including internal roads, water supply systems, sewage networks, and stormwater drainage, before handing over the plots to successful bidders.
Speaking on the development, CIDCO Vice Chairman and Managing Director Vijay Singhal said Navi Mumbai is naturally emerging as a logistics and industrial hub due to its strategic location and robust infrastructure. "Through the Integrated Logistics Park, we aim to create a future-ready ecosystem that facilitates efficient cargo movement, attracts investment, and drives economic growth," he said.
Following the selection process, successful applicants will enter into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with CIDCO, outlining payment and land acquisition terms.
The project is expected to host logistics and allied sectors such as warehousing, container freight stations, inland container depots, and light industries, in line with the Maharashtra Logistics Policy.
Officials believe the ILP will boost employment, enhance cargo handling efficiency, and further position Navi Mumbai as a key node in India's logistics network, complementing upcoming social infrastructure projects such as Edu City, Medi City, and Sports City.
