Rs 5 lakh aid announced, not yet received: Association

Mumbai Dabbawala Association president Subhash Talekar told mid-day.com that the Maharashtra government had sanctioned Rs 5 lakh for the family.

However, he said the amount had not yet been disbursed even after nearly two months.

"The Maharashtra government has granted Rs 5 lakh to the family, but it's been almost two months now, and the family has not received any amount. We request the government to release the financial aid as soon as possible so the family can survive without further delay," Talekar said.
