Central Railway will operate four additional Ganpati Special train services between Hazur Sahib Nanded and Sawantwadi Road in Maharashtra following demand from passengers.
In a press release issued on Tuesday, Central Railway said the additional services will operate between Saturday, September 12, and Thursday, September 17.
Train number 07659 will depart from Hazur Sahib Nanded at 8 pm on September 12 and 15 and arrive at Sawantwadi Road at 3.30 am on the third day. Two services will be operated.
Train number 07660 will depart from Sawantwadi Road at 7.30 am on September 14 and 17 and arrive at Hazur Sahib Nanded at 11.30 am the next day. Two services will be operated.
The special trains will halt at Purna, Parbhani, Parli Vaijnath, Latur Road, Latur, Yedshi, Barshi Town, Kurduwadi, Daund, Pune, Lonavla, Kalyan, Panvel, Pen, Roha, Mangaon, Khed, Chiplun, Sangameshwar Road, Ratnagiri, Rajapur Road, Vaibhavwadi Road, Kankavali, and Kudal.
The trains will comprise three AC 2-Tier coaches, five AC 3-Tier coaches, 10 Sleeper Class coaches, four General Second Class coaches and two Second Seating-cum-Guard's Brake Van coaches.

Last week, Central Railway said that it will operate four additional Ganpati Special train services between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) in Mumbai and Madgaon to manage the expected rush during Ganesh Chaturthi 2026.
According to an official statement, the special trains will run on September 11 and 13, providing additional travel options for passengers travelling between Mumbai and Goa and destinations along the Konkan route.
Train 01007 will depart from CSMT at 12.40 am on September 11 and September 13. It will reach Madgaon at 3.30 pm on the same day.
The return service, 01008, will leave Madgaon at 4.30 pm on September 11 and September 13. It will arrive at CSMT at 8.15 am the following day.
Together, these will provide four additional train services - two from Mumbai to Madgaon and two in the return direction.
The special trains will stop at several stations along the Konkan route, including Dadar, Thane, Panvel, Pen, Roha, Mangaon, Veer, Khed, Chiplun, Sawarda, Aravali Road, Sangameshwar Road, Ratnagiri, Adavali, Vilavade, Rajapur Road, Vaibhavwadi Road, Nandgaon Road, Kankavali, Sindhudurg, Kudal, Sawantwadi Road, Thivim and Karmali.
The halts will benefit passengers travelling to several important destinations in the Konkan region and Goa.
The special trains will have a total of 22 coaches, comprising 2 AC 3-Tier coaches, 12 Sleeper Class coaches, 6 General Second Class coaches and 2 Second Seating-cum-Guard's Brake Vans.
This composition provides both reserved and unreserved travel options for passengers.
Bookings for the reserved accommodation on train 01007 will open on August 29, 2026. Passengers can make reservations at all Passenger Reservation System (PRS) locations and through the IRCTC website, the official statement said.
Tickets for the unreserved coaches can be purchased at normal charges through the UTS system. Passengers can also use the RailOne app for ticket booking, it said.
Central Railway has advised passengers to check the detailed arrival and departure timings at individual stations before travelling. Updated information is available through the Indian Railways enquiry website and the NTES app, Central Railway officials said.
