The Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) has appointed four senior engineers of as Executive Directors.
Ankur Kawale, Sandeep Patil, Chandramani Mishra and Sunil Kakade have been appointed as executive directors of MSEDCL after being selected through the deputation recruitment process, officials said.
As per the official statement, the officials were previously serving as chief engineers at different locations and departments of MSEDCL.
Ankur Kawale, who has been appointed executive director, was earlier serving as Chief Engineer (Distribution) at Mahavitaran's headquarters in Mumbai. Kawale holds a master's degree in electrical engineering and a postgraduate diploma in management. He joined the erstwhile Maharashtra State Electricity Board as an assistant engineer in 1997. During his career, he served in various positions in Nashik, Ahilyanagar, Pune and Kolhapur. He had been working as Chief Engineer at the Mumbai headquarters since 2025.
Sandeep Patil holds a degree in electrical engineering and joined the erstwhile Maharashtra State Electricity Board as an assistant engineer in 2003. Patil was selected as Executive Engineer through direct recruitment in 2009 and was promoted to Superintendent Engineer in 2018 and Chief Engineer in 2025. Before his appointment as Executive Director, Patil was serving as Chief Engineer (Power Purchase) at Mahavitaran's headquarters.
Chandramani Mishra holds a distinction degree in electrical engineering and joined the erstwhile Maharashtra State Electricity Board as an assistant engineer in 2003. He subsequently worked at Alibaug, Vashi, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar and Mumbai in various positions. Mishra was selected as Executive Engineer through direct recruitment in 2009, promoted to Superintendent Engineer in 2018 and Chief Engineer in 2024.
Prior to taking charge as Executive Director, Mishra was serving as Chief Engineer of the Kalyan Circle.
Sunil Kakade holds a degree in electrical engineering and joined the erstwhile Maharashtra State Electricity Board as an assistant engineer in 1997. During his career, he worked in various capacities at Chalisgaon, Nashik, Bhusawal, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Kalyan, Ahilyanagar and Bhandup. He was promoted to Chief Engineer in 2022.
Kakade has been serving as Chief Engineer of the Pune Circle since 2025, after his tenure in the Bhandup Circle.
The appointments bring four experienced Mahavitaran officials with extensive experience in distribution, power purchase and field operations into the company's executive director-level leadership.
