Maharashtra Home Department orders transfer of 21 police officials

The Maharashtra government has ordered a major reshuffle of the state police force, transferring 21 officials across key districts and departments, based on the recommendations of the Police Establishment Board No. 1.

The Home Department issued the order on Thursday, as part of routine administrative changes aimed at strengthening law and order and streamlining operations across the state.

The order, issued under Section 22N of the Maharashtra Police Act, 1951, approves transfers involving Indian Police Service (IPS) and State Police Service officers as part of routine administrative restructuring.

Key transfers across districts and units

Among the key changes, Ajay K. Bansal has been transferred from Superintendent of Police (SP), Jalna, to SP, Cyber Security, Maharashtra State, while Singhuri Vishal Anand moves from SP, Amravati (Rural), to SP, Dhule.

Balasaheb Patil, currently SP, Nashik (Rural), has been appointed Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Mumbai City. Somnath Gharge, SP, Ahilyanagar, will take over as Assistant Inspector General of Police (Law & Order) at the Police Headquarters.

Ravindra Singh S. Pardeshi has been shifted from SP, Parbhani, to Deputy Commissioner in the State Intelligence Department, Mumbai, while Sandeep Ghughe moves from the same department to DCP, Mumbai City.

Shravan Dutt, SP, Nandurbar, has been appointed as Additional Director General of Police (Special Operations) and Staff Officer.

Further reshuffle across regions

Mumka Sudarshan has been moved from SP, Chandrapur, to SP, Ahilyanagar, while Dhodopant S. Swami shifts from SP, Thane (Rural), to SP, Nashik (Rural).

Anuj Milind Tare has been posted as SP, Anti-Narcotics Task Force, Pune, from Washim. Anurag Jain has been appointed DCP, Mumbai City, from the Economic Offences Wing.

Ashwini Sanap will move from SP, Lohmarg, Pune, to SP, Nandurbar, while Tajbir Singh Sindhu has been posted as SP, Jalna from Additional SP, Malegaon.

Rajkumar Shinde has been transferred from DCP, Pune City, to SP, Lohmarg, Pune. Nikesh Khatmode moves from SP, Anti-Narcotics Task Force, Pune, to SP, Washim.

Appointments in Vidarbha and Marathwada

Aayush Nopani has been posted as SP, Chandrapur, from Additional SP, Jalna, while Pankaj Kumawat moves from Additional SP, Amravati (Rural), to SP, Parbhani.

Niketan Kadam, DCP Zone 5, Nagpur, has been appointed SP, Amravati (Rural). Suraj Gunjal has been transferred from Additional SP, Parbhani, to Additional SP, Malegaon.

Gajanan Rajmane, SP, Forest Force, has been posted as DCP, Mumbai City. Datta Laxman Tottewad will take charge as Additional SP, Amravati from his current post as Additional Director General of Police (Special Operations) Staff Officer.

Directions to DGP

The Director General of Police, Maharashtra, has been directed to ensure necessary follow-up action in line with tribunal or court orders, the Model Code of Conduct, and prevailing law and order requirements.

The order has been issued with the approval of the competent authority, the government said.
