The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell has announced an additional institutional-level admission round for students seeking entry into law (three and five year), Bachelor of Physical Education (BPEd), Master of Physical Education (MPEd), Master of Education (Med), and Bachelor of Education (Bed) courses, following disruptions caused by heavy rainfall and floods across the state. The additional round will be held from October 3 to 5.
According to the CET cell, several students were unable to secure admissions during the regular institutional rounds due to flood-affected conditions. In addition, some applicants faced issues due to incorrect or incomplete information in their admission forms, including marks for qualifying examinations such as Class 12, undergraduate or postgraduate degrees.
To ensure that students do not miss out on their academic opportunities, the CET cell has decided to allow corrections in admission forms and provide a final opportunity to participate in the institutional-level admission process. During this additional round, students will also have the chance to select colleges of their preference.
"Due to the heavy rains and floods in the state, as well as other technical issues, many students could not take admission in law, BPEd, MPEd, MEd and BEd-MEd courses. This additional round has been organised to ensure that no student is left behind. We urge students to make use of this opportunity," said CET cell Commissioner Dilip Sardesai.
