MMRDA moves ahead with Metro 4 after crucial RDSO clearance. Representational Pic
Green Line-4 of the Mumbai Metro has moved a step closer to operational launch with the Research Designs and Standards Organisation (RDSO) certification for its first phase received on June 2.
The certification, a key regulatory requirement, comes after a delay of around 209 days and marks a significant milestone towards the commencement of services.
The approval was secured following sustained follow-ups by the Metropolitan Commissioner and coordinated efforts with the concerned authorities.
With the RDSO clearance in place, the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) will now move ahead to apply for inspection and approval from the Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety (CMRS), the final statutory step before the line can be opened to passengers.
