Mumbai man arrested for allegedly murdering 17-year-old girlfriend in Kandivali

In a separate incident in July, the Samta Nagar Police arrested a 29-year-old man for allegedly murdering his 17-year-old girlfriend in a forested area near the Lovegarh locality on the outskirts of Sanjay Gandhi National Park (SGNP) at Kandivali East.

According to the police, the victim's body was discovered by residents, following which they immediately alerted the authorities. Soon after receiving the information, a police team rushed to the spot and launched an investigation.

During the preliminary probe, officers found that the teenager had suffered a brutal assault. Her throat had been slit, and she had sustained multiple injuries on various parts of her body. Police said the victim had particularly severe wounds on her chest, suggesting an exceptionally violent attack.

Investigators later identified the accused as 29-year-old Waghmare, who was allegedly in a relationship with the victim.

Police said the accused suspected that the 17-year-old was also in contact with another person, which frequently led to arguments between the two.
