Gas supply to Mahanagar Gas Limited's (MGL) City Gate Station (CGS) at Wadala was disrupted on Saturday after third-party damage to GAIL's main gas pipeline inside the RCF compound, according to a statement.

MGL said domestic PNG supply will be prioritised and maintained without interruption. However, CNG stations across Mumbai, Thane and Navi Mumbai, including those catering to public transport, may remain shut due to the halt in supply to the Wadala station and the resulting impact on MGL's pipeline network.

Industrial and commercial consumers in the affected areas have been advised to switch to alternate fuels until normalcy is restored, the statement said.

MGL said gas supplies across its network will resume once repairs are completed and supply to CGS Wadala is reinstated, adding that it regrets the inconvenience caused.
