The Andheri police have arrested a 31-year-old struggling model for allegedly drugging, blackmailing, and recording obscene photos and videos of her 22-year-old woman employee. The investigation has revealed that the accused was running a fake company and had hired the victim under the pretext of a marketing job.
The accused, a resident of Andheri, had rented a room in a JB Nagar lodge and was operating an "office" from there for several days. The victim, a college student, had joined the part-time job after responding to an online advertisement for marketing and sales of "garam masala" products. According to police officers, the incident took place a few days ago after the victim joined the job.
A police officer said, "The victim applied through a social media post and was selected by the accused. The accused told her they would be operating from a rented lodge room at JB Nagar. Only the accused and the victim worked from this so-called office." Police said that a few days later, the model allegedly mixed an intoxicating substance into a soft drink and gave it to the victim, who soon fell unconscious. She then allegedly called two men to the lodge room. Both men are suspected to have sexually assaulted the unconscious victim.
"When the victim regained consciousness, she found two men sitting next to her. The accused also showed the victim obscene photos and videos recorded during the assault. The victim managed to escape from the lodge," the officer added. The victim later approached the Andheri police and filed an FIR against the model and the two unidentified men. Datta Nalawade, DCP, Zone X, said, "We have arrested the model and are tracing the two other accused."
