A Virar-Bharuch MEMU train (No. 19101) partially derailed while entering Platform No. 4 at Bhilad railway station in Western Railway's Mumbai Central Division on Tuesday morning.
According to Western Railway, four wheels of the train's front Driving Motor Coach (DMC) derailed at around 6:27 am.
An Accident Relief Train (ART) and Accident Relief Medical Equipment (ARME) were immediately dispatched from Valsad to the site. Railway officials said no passengers or railway staff were injured in the incident.
Western Railway on Tuesday said train services in both the up and down directions have resumed normal operations after the obstruction on the common loop line at Bhilad station was cleared at 11:11 am.
The restoration of the common loop line has enabled down trains to resume movement, with railway officials confirming that services in both directions are now operating normally.
