The city is expected to record a maximum of 35.8 degrees Celsius in the island city and 35.3 degrees Celsius in the suburbs, with elevated humidity levels continuing to make conditions uncomfortable for residents.
Following the forecast, the IMD has advised city residents to brace for thundershowers, with weather conditions likely to remain unstable over the next few days.
Meanwhile, air quality in Mumbai remained in the 'satisfactory' category on Monday, with an overall Air Quality Index (AQI) of 70, according to the Central Pollution Control Board's SAMEER app.
