Traffic movement on parts of the Hinduhridaysamrat Balasaheb Thackeray Maharashtra Samruddhi Mahamarg (Samruddhi Expressway) will be temporarily closed on Thursday, August 20, due to gantry installation work in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar district.
According to the traffic advisory, the work will be carried out between Km 390 plus 445 and Km 444 plus 845, covering the Bendewadi to Fatiyabad stretch.
Traffic on the Nagpur-bound corridor will be stopped at Chainage 404 plus 200 between 12 pm and 1 pm.
The traffic closure is expected to remain in place for approximately 45 to 60 minutes, after which vehicles will be allowed to proceed once the work is completed.
Traffic on the Mumbai-bound corridor will also be temporarily stopped between 3 pm and 4 pm.
The closure will affect the following chainages:
Chainage 403 plus 700 - Mumbai corridor
Chainage 404 plus 200 - Mumbai corridor
Authorities said traffic will resume after the gantry installation work at the respective locations is completed.
Motorists travelling on the Samruddhi Mahamarg through Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar have been advised to plan their journeys accordingly and exercise caution while approaching the affected stretches.
The temporary closures are being carried out to facilitate gantry installation work and ensure the safety of motorists and workers on the expressway.
