Search on after 22-year-old man reported to have fallen into Mahim creek in Mumbai

A 22-year-old man was on Monday reported to have fallen into Mahim creek in central Mumbai following which a search and rescue operation was launched by the civic authorities, officials said.

The incident was reported at around 3.30 pm. After receiving the information, Mumbai Fire Brigade personnel rushed to the spot and launched an operation to locate the man, they said.

His mother, who reached the spot said that the man had been recently experiencing severe pain after being diagnosed with chickenpox a few days ago.

Some local said that the man was usually seen often near the spot close to where the incident took place.
