Six labourers were injured after falling from an under-construction building in Subhas Nagar, Chembur, on Tuesday afternoon.

The incident was reported around 12:05 PM from Rajawadi Hospital.

According to hospital sources, one worker, identified as Ramallu (55), was brought dead. Gunadhar Rai (22) has been admitted to the MICU in critical condition. The remaining four injured-Usrai (30), Ramesh Rai (25), Vijay (35), and Sandip (27) are undergoing treatment at the hospital.

Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB), local police, and ward staff were mobilised to respond to the accident. Authorities are investigating the circumstances that led to the fall.

Mumbai: 22-year-old man injured by falling iron rod near Sewri-Worli Bridge

A 22-year-old man was injured on Saturday evening after an iron rod fell from the Sewri-Worli Bridge.

The incident occurred around 8:48 PM on Friday, on Acharya Donde Marg. Local residents rushed the injured man, identified as Ganesh Vishnu Budhale, to Gleneagles Hospital, Parel.

According to hospital officials, Budhale is currently admitted and his condition is stable. Updates about his recovery will be provided as available.

Authorities are investigating the circumstances under which the iron rod fell.

Six injured after car driven by doctor crashes into multiple vehicles in Kalyan

At least six people were injured, two of them seriously, after a speeding car driven by a doctor rammed into several parked vehicles in the Kalyan area of Maharashtra's Thane district, police said, reported the PTI.

The incident took place on Wednesday morning.

According to officials, the driver lost control of the vehicle, which then crashed into three to four vehicles parked along the roadside.

The driver has been identified. He has been detained by the Khadakpada Police Station in connection with the accident, officials said.

Police said an offence has been registered against him under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

Two seriously injured

The impact of the crash was severe, with several two-wheelers in the area suffering heavy damage.

Local residents rushed to the scene to help the injured and shifted them to a nearby hospital. Of the six injured, two sustained grievous injuries and are undergoing treatment at a private hospital.
