Thane: Citizens can now report traffic violations on WhatsApp

The citizens of Thane can now report traffic violations directly via WhatsApp. Authorities have issued 18 official numbers for different traffic subdivisions. According to the Thane traffic authorities, the complaints will be verified by the concerned officer and accordingly, e-challan action will be initiated.

It was launched on the directions of Thane Police Commissioner Ashutosh Dumbre and Joint Commissioner of Police Dr Dnyaneshwar Chavan.

Report all violations

Citizens can report violations including wrong-side driving, triple-seat riding, fancy or unauthorised number plates, tinted glass, parking in no-parking zones, double parking, and vehicles obstructing traffic. Information about other traffic violations can also be shared with the concerned traffic subdivision.
