Udaipur, a popular heritage and leisure destination in Rajasthan, recorded nearly 20 lakh domestic visitors and more than 1.6 lakh foreign visitors in 2025, according to the Rajasthan Department of Tourism.
IndiGo said the new routes are aimed at meeting travel demand during the peak season and providing direct connectivity to southern Rajasthan.
The airline currently operates more than 2,200 daily flights with a fleet of over 430 aircraft, connecting more than 95 domestic and 40 international destinations.
Meanwhile, the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) on Wednesday launched a direct bus service connecting Dadar with Navi Mumbai International Airport, strengthening public transport connectivity between Mumbai and the newly opened airport.
The service was inaugurated by Maharashtra Transport Minister Pratap Sarnaik.
The buses will operate via the Atal Setu, providing passengers with a direct and convenient road connection between Dadar and the airport.
Speaking at the launch, Sarnaik said the new service was an important step towards connecting Navi Mumbai International Airport with the MSRTC's wider public transport network.
"With a direct service from Dadar, one of Mumbai's major transport hubs, to the airport, air passengers as well as the general public will benefit greatly," he said.
The service is expected to provide passengers with a safe, comfortable and reliable option to travel between central Mumbai and the airport, officials said.
