Western Railway to operate night block between Santacruz and Mahim on Saturday, check details

The Western Railway, while sharing Mumbai local train updates, on Friday said that it will operate a night block between Santacruz and Mahim on Saturday.

In an official statement, the Western Railway said that to carry out maintenance work of tracks, signaling and overhead equipment, a jumbo block will be taken on UP fast line from 00:00 hrs, to 04:00 hrs, and on Down fast line from 00:30 hrs to 04:30 hrs, between Santacruz and Mahim stations in the intervening night of Saturday/Sunday (August 9 and 10).

According to a press release issued by Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, Vineet Abhishek, during the block period, all fast line trains will be run on slow lines between Andheri and Churchgate.

"There will be no block in the day time over Western Railway's suburban section on Sunday, August 10," the statement said.

Western Railway to run more Raksha Bandhan special train from Bandra terminus

Meanwhile, the Western Railway said that for the convenience of passengers and with a view to meet the travel demand during the festive season of Raksha Bandhan, Western Railway will run one more Special Train on Special fare between Bandra Terminus and Jaipur.

The details of the train is as under:

- Train No. 09726/09725 Bandra Terminus - Jaipur Special (2 trips)

Train No. 09726 Bandra Terminus - Jaipur Special will depart from Bandra Terminus on Monday, August 11, 2025 at 09:30 hrs, and will reach Jaipur at 06:45 hrs, the next day. Similarly, Train No. 09725 Jaipur - Bandra Terminus Special will depart from Jaipur on Sunday, 10th August, 2025 at 08:25 hrs, and will arrive Bandra Terminus at 04:55 hrs, the next day.

Enroute, this train will halt at Borivali, Vapi, Surat, Vadodara, Ratlam, Mandsor, Nimach, Chittaurgarh, Bhilwara, Mandal, Bijainagar, Nasirabad, Ajmer and Kishangarh stations in both directions.

The train comprises of AC 2-Tier, AC -3 Tier, AC -3 Tier (Economy), Sleeper Class and General Second Class Coaches.

The booking for Train No. 09726 will open from August 9, 2025 at all PRS counters and on IRCTC website. For detailed information regarding timings of halts and composition, passengers may please visit the official website, the statement said.
