The Belasis Flyover connecting Nagpada and Mumbai Central has been completed in just 15 months, ahead of schedule. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) confirmed that all the works have been completed. BMC, in a post on social media handle X, wrote, "The work on the main Belasis Bridge has been completed. This includes the approach roads on both sides and all the other remaining work"
After the under-construction Belasis flyover in Mumbai Central was completed on Wednesday, Additional Municipal Commissioner (Projects) Abhijeet Bangar reviewed the final works in Tardeo
While the construction work of the Belasis flyover is completed, the bridge still awaits Railway NOC before being opened to the general public for travel
Once operational to the public, the Belasis flyover is expected to significantly reduce travel time for commuters, especially during peak hours
Along with the additional municipal commissioner, Chief Engineer (Bridges) Uttam Shrote, Deputy Chief Engineer Rajesh Mulye, and other senior officials were also present at the site to oversee the final inspections.
