The ruling BJP has fielded four candidates, including Vinod Tawde and Ramdas Athawale, for the Rajya Sabha biennial polls from Maharashtra, with nominations being filed at Vidhan Bhavan

Nomonations happen in the presence of CM Fadnavis. Seven Rajya Sabha seats from Maharashtra will fall vacant next month, with polling scheduled for March 16, as the BJP-led Mahayuti alliance looks poised to secure most of the seats while the Opposition MVA backs Sharad Pawar for the lone winnable seat.
