Back to school: Heartwarming photos of Mumbai’s tiny tots returning to class after the summer break

Meanwhile, in neighbouring Thane district, Maharashtra Transport Minister Pratap Sarnaik and other officials welcomed students with stationery kits

Officials also distributed sweets to the new batches of students  

Several civic officials visited TMC schools across the city to welcome the students. They presented the pupils with books  

The visit by the officials comes as part of the school adoption and inspection programme

To coincide with the reopening and under the Deputy CM Eknath Shinde's 'Green Thane' campaign, TMC’s Garden Department and Tree Authority organised plantation drives across several schools
