In view of making the Dusshera festival memorable for Mumbaikars, workers meticulously paste paper and cloth to shape the effigy’s grand form.

Bright colours add life to Ravana as the artisans race against time to complete the work before the Dussehra celebration kicks off on October 2.

Wood, bamboo, and paper come together to form the iconic figures of Ravana, Kumbhkaran, and Meghnad.

A glimpse of the moment that captured the true spirit of the artisans who are dedicated to making idols that almost seem real.

While Dussehra remains a festival that is celebrated by millions of people across the country, artisans put in the hard yards to give Mumbaikars a memorable experience during the celebration.

Final adjustments are made by the artisans to make sure that everything looks perfect before the grand Ravan Dahan celebrations.
